PURPOSE
The scope of use is dentistry. Professional use in the healthcare facility.
Dental adhesive for light- and chemically cured composite materials "Belabond"
(adhesive system for light-cured composite materials) (hereinafter – adhesive system
"Belabond") is intended to ensure adhesion of light-cured composite materials with tooth
hard tissues.
FEATURES
Adhesive system "Belabond" contains primer, adhesive, etching gel for enamel
and dentine on organic base.
The primer contains dimethacrylate oligomers, hydrophilic adhesive phosphoruscontaining
oligoestermethacrylates and acid monomers resistant to hydrolysis, stabilizers,
proton solvents (water, ethanol). The water-alcohol base completely moistens the dentine
surface and easily penetrates the dentine tubules. Reactive groups of adhesive monomers
interact with calcium hydroxyapatite ions of tooth tissues and amino groups of collagen
fibers, which provides additional bond strength due to chemical bonding with wet dentine
and enamel.
The adhesive contains di-, mono- and multifunctional methacrylate oligomers (Bis-
GMA, UDMA, TEGDMA, HEMA, etc.), 48% composition of modified fillers of barium
borosilicate glass and colloidal silicon dioxide, polymerization activators, stabilizers,
solvents. Fine fillers contribute to the formation of thin film with single application of the
adhesive, provide high level of protection against micro-flows, improve mechanical and
rheological properties, and reduce polymerization shrinkage. The adhesive has the effect
of fluoride release, radiopaque.
The primer and adhesive have chemical similarity to the oligomeric binder of
composite materials, it spreads in thin layer over the treated surface, ensuring reliable
connection of tooth tissues with the composite.
The etching gel contains orthophosphoric acid, which gives micro-roughness to the
surface; organic thickener that is completely washed off with water, unlike gels with
inorganic thickener; bactericidal modifier that increases the penetrating ability of the
etching component by removing surface tension, which significantly increases adhesion.
Adhesive system "Belabond" is applicable to ensure the adhesion of direct
restorations using the method of total etching.
Adhesive system "Belabond" provides strong grip and reliable edge fit based on
chemical adhesion during the restoration of the anatomical shape of the tooth.
Adhesive system "Belabond" can be used in combination with any light-cured
composite materials.
